The Turtle Lodge offers opportunities for people of all ages, to engage
in a process of healing. The healing process is one, which encourages
people to take responsibility for their own choices and healing.
We approach healing from a traditional First Nations perspective,
which is holistic in the sense of bringing balance to the body, mind,
spirit and emotions. We offer opportunities for people to heal through
feeling a connection to the land and to Spirit.
We have full-time healers on staff, who can
also draw from additional traditional spiritual healers, other health
and allied
health care professions.
We also draw from visiting healers from communities across Turtle
Island, and Elders and spiritual people from around the world. We
offer a variety of healing modalities and approaches.
Our healers attempt to act as models for human behavior in order to
encourage a way of life that is peaceful and in keeping
with the Seven Teachings of Inspiration.
Our healers do not charge for the work
they do. This is to ensure the protection of the traditional spiritual
healing process.
We leave it up to clients to determine their own forms of remuneration
for those who help them.
Thus the gifts people give will be based on their own desire and ability
to give.
